The Port-a-Potty F.A.Q.

Whether you call them port-a-potties, port-a-johns, or portable bathrooms, portable toilets have been around for a long time.  Modern ones such as we use are made from tough, durable, cleanable, lightweight polyurethane plastic.

Questions and Answers

Q: How much notice do you require to rent a portable restroom?
A: Typically we can deliver your portable restroom within 24 hours and sometimes even the same day.
Q: Will the port-a-potties be ready for use when delivered.
A: Our port-a-potties will be delivered clean, with toilet paper and chemicals in the tanks ready for use
Q: Can I have the portable toilet placed anywhere on my job site or property?
A: Yes, we will try our best to place it where you request. But keep in mind, we need access to service the portable toilet. We will look to place it on a level surface where it won't easily be moved.
Q: Do portable potty rental service also provide trash service for my job site or temporary fence for rental?
A: Most portable potty companies do portable restroom rental exclusively, but can always refer a local service that will provide you with a roll-off container.
Q: If I order a port-a-john for special events, will I get one that was previously used on construction sites? I just need to be sure that the portable restroom I rent isn't so messy that my guests will shy away.
A: No, we have special event units that have never been on construction sites.  They are reserved for special events such as weddings, graduation parties, birthday parties, 4th of July, Labor & Memorial Day, Etc.
Q: Am I required by law to have a porta potty on my job site?
A: Most building departments will require port-a-potties on construction job sites. The number of units required depends on the number of construction workers on the job site. If you put this in terms of man hours, the lost time in having workers take a hike to a public restroom versus having one nearby adds up significantly; you could do the math on how much money it will save having easy access to a portable toilet. It also makes for happier employees.
Q: Do you offer portable toilet rentals for just 1 day?
A: Yes, we can do portable toilet rentals for 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or long term.
Q: After the port-o-let is cleaned, where is the waste disposed?
A: The waste from the port-o-let is disposed at the local wastewater treatment plant.
Q: If our portapotty fills and we need the waste removed sooner, is there an extra service charge?
A: Yes, there will be an extra service charge, but typically if the unit fills up, it is due to not enough units for your construction site or special event.

Q: What is the rule of thumb for how to calculate units needed on a construction site.
A: ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards calls for one portable toilet per 10 workers for a 40-hour work week. Wikipedia recommends the same rule of thumb. Call us to get accurate numbers.

Q: Is there a rule of thumb for how to calculate port-a-potty units needed for a special event?
A: Our Event Planner can assist you with the specifics needed for your event.

Q: Does portable toilet rental require a that we first sign a damage waiver?
A: No, we typically do not require a damage waiver.

Q: Accidents happen.  What do we do if our portable toilet gets damaged badly?
A: This is addressed on a case by case basis.

Q: How far does your service region extend?
A: This is a tough question to pinpoint an exact radius.  Here are the counties we service: Adams, Weld , Jefferson, Denver , Broomfield and Boulder.

Q: What's the difference in renting a portable bathroom from you versus the others we found on the internet?
A: We are a small business.  We try to always answer the phone and answer any questions while on the phone. With other companies you may get your call transferred several times before you reach someone who can help you.
